Grenville, NM is located on US 64/87 27 miles northwest of Clayton and 18 miles southeast of Des Moines. The survey sent to the Village of Grenville states actual count population of Grenville is 28. The Village of Grenville encompasses 0.6 square miles. The northeast New Mexico town is the smallest incorporated village in the state. At right is Katheren Sink, who at 84 is Grenville's oldest resident. In front (wearing purple) is her daughter, Mignon Saddoris, who includes mayor and postmaster among her many titles.

Only a few of the buildings in town still remain standing. The town began a slow death in the 1930's.
